I am always up for trying a different item, especially shampoo! I used to have quite the collection of shampoos (changing between the brands every week or so), until we bought our house and completely ran out of room to store everything.

When I had the opportunity to try the Adovia Dead Sea Mud Shampoo, I jumped on the chance. I don’t have an overly itchy scalp or dandruff, but my hair has been drier than usual because of the post-pregnancy hormones. I figured it would be a good test to see how my hair reacts to this more natural shampoo.

Dead Sea Mud Shampoo

After just my first time trying it, I immediately noticed that my hair was softer than before. It still had a bit of frizz when I dried and straightened it, but it was noticeably better.

After a week of using it, I have tried having my hair both straight and curly (naturally), and I really do think that it has helped to manage the frizz.

The dead sea mud shampoo itself has a interesting smell (almost metallic), which matches the look of it (a gun metal color). The ingredients don’t look 100% natural, but I don’t know of many shampoos that are totally natural. It lathers just fine, and I don’t feel like I have to use a lot to get my hair totally clean.

With a $24 price tag (and free shipping) on Amazon, it’s not the cheapest or most expensive shampoo out there (for 7.4 fl oz), but I am convinced that it is a good one. Of course, I can’t speak to the flaky scalp or dryness, but I know what it has done with my hair in just a week. I’m happy!
