I was really excited when I found out that I would be receiving a Buttons cloth diaper to review. Back even before I was pregnant, I really wanted to use cloth diapers with our baby to help with the environmental impact of 8+ diapers a day. Then I found out we were having twins, and I knew that my cloth diapering plans might have to go on hold until we got a grasp of having two babies at once. Then, once things settled down (do they ever with twins?), we could move on to our cloth diapering dream.
I thought that by receiving the Buttons diaper, it might start us off on the road towards this new adventure.
This is the description by the company:
Buttons Diapers are a two-in-one diaper system: wipe-able, waterproof PUL covers that adjust with snaps to fit babies from 9-35 lbs. Our absorbent inserts are made of microfiber and moisture-wicking fleece, and snap right into Buttons diaper covers. Inserts come in 2 sizes with a nighttime doubler option as well. We have a 5-star rating on Amazon.com, and our customers love how well-made, cute, and affordable our products are.
When you receive a diaper from Buttons ($11), you will get the cover (ours was “pebble” gray so we could use it with either baby)
and two inserts (only one shown with the cover).
Right now, Miss Audrey weighs about 8 lbs, and the diaper is for 9 lb+ babies. It fits her fine around the waist, and I love that it has so many snaps. This means that the diaper grows with the baby. The biggest issue was the legs, as I felt like it didn’t have as tight a closure around them, and I did not want to have the chance for explosions out the sides. As you can see from the pictures below, Aud is still a little small for the diaper, as it was a bit bulky on her frame.
I think, though, once she grows a bit more (and I have time to figure out how to best snap it so it fits her the best), this could be a good diaper choice for her. I love the material that the cover is made out of. It seems like, once it fits her securely, it is going to do a good job of holding in any potential explosions. The diaper inserts are made of an extremely soft microfiber, and they seem thick enough to really absorb well and pull it away from their bodies. I’m excited to try it more once they get bigger!
Now, get ready for some Audrey cuteness!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
