You Know How I Know I’m Pregnant?

Back when I first started feeling the effects of being pregnant, Tim and I would play this game: “You know how I know I’m pregnant?” I would list all of the symptoms or silly things I’d do that proved I was pregnant.

So, here are the things that made our list:

  • Drop my keys
  • Drop my sweater
  • Drop my purse
  • Can’t lean over to pick up something
  • Groan every time I bend over
  • Have to go to the bathroom within 30 seconds of entering a store
  • Have to go to the bathroom within 30 seconds of coming home
  • Have to go to the bathroom within 30 seconds of getting in the car to go somewhere
  • Have to go to the bathroom within 30 seconds of getting comfortable in bed
  • Have to go to the bathroom
  • Making faces (because one of the babies kicks something uncomfortable)
  • Not being able to sleep
  • Bursting out into tears
  • Losing my balance when putting food in Lucy’s food bowl
  • 6 pillows are on the bed for one person… and it’s still not enough
  • Sore hips
  • Sore pelvis
  • Sore back
  • Sore shoulders
  • Sore feet
  • Sore everything
  • When you decide that 10:30 PM is the perfect time to reorganize the hospital bag… or the nursery closet… or the kitchen… or the changing table… or the master closet…
  • Weird, changing shapes of my stomach aren’t so strange anymore
  • When you go to the bathroom, brush your teeth, take your pills, put your clothes in the laundry, and then have to go to the bathroom again
  • Forgetting to do something before getting comfortable = “Tim…? Can you… for me?”
  • Sitting down in the shower = heaven
  • Taking a bath = needs help getting out of the tub
  • Good smells don’t smell so good anymore
  • Too much cologne or perfume on a stranger walking past causes me to make a face
  • No filter
  • The mere mention of any type of food causes intense cravings
  • Donuts = heaven
  • Cheeseburgers with pickles = heaven
  • Sitting down has never felt so good

So what are some of the things that made your list?
