24 Weeks Update

24 Weeks Pregnant - Doyle Dispatch

Physical Symptoms: Baby Boy moving higher after eating a big meal/pain in ribs/pain in middle back, itchy belly, feeling kicks from the outside, bellybutton still slowly disappearing, Braxton Hicks, Baby Boy kicking like crazy during a visit to the golf course and during the VT/Alabama football game

Emotions: A little stressed at the long (and growing) “to do” list, overall happy mood

Cravings: Cheeseburgers with pickles

Food Aversions: Avocado

Pregnancy Milestones: Viability week! If the babies are born now, they have a great chance of surviving (although we want them to stay twin-cubating for a while longer)

Purchases for Peanut: Finished crib skirts, finished glider pillow, bought shelves for above changing table

Peanuts’ Sizes: Eggplants

  1. I love the eggplant picture in the grocery store. So did you cook them? Moussaka is wonderful! Baby Girl and Baby Boy (AKA Donny and Marie) are really getting big now! I still want to wait a while to meet them, but sooo happy with your progress!

    • Thanks! I’m actually not a big eggplant fan, so this was one of the veggies/fruit that we didn’t eat (well, that and the avocado week too… still one of my aversions). It was shocking to be in Kroger and see how big they really were. They are doing so well!

  2. So cute…… Love seeing your updates and the blog. Wish I would have done this when I was pregnant. Well there’s next time!!! You look adorable and pregnancy really fits you! Can’t wait to see the little girl/little boy!! Any names yet??

    • Aw! Thank you so much, Tammy! We still want to get the ultrasound pictures up on the blog… maybe that is something we can do this week. Their little noses and bellies are so cute (although I am a little partial). We do have names picked out, but we are keeping them super-secret (even from our parents, despite their best efforts to find them out). We share so much, but we wanted this to be our little mommy/daddy secret until (hopefully) they are born. Cross your fingers for us that we don’t mess up and accidentally spill their names before then!
